Return to the Word is
about returning to the truths of God's Word which have effectively shown the way
for believers for thousands of years. In our age of intellectualism, our world
believes that no thinking person could believe what is written in the word of
God, turning instead to the teachings of psychology, Darwinsm, and secular
humanism. Refusing to see the truth of God's Word, our world becomes more and
more deceived, preaching the virtues of tolerance at the cost of truth and
endlessly debating over issues which the common sense and wisdom of God's Word
show to be black and white. More than ever, this generation needs to turn again
to God Almighty for the answers to life's questions. It is time to return to the
Word. |

These days, it
seems that anyone who is viewed as an "expert" on any subject can say
virtually anything and have it accepted as truth, simply because an "expert"
says it is so. This philosophy has led many people astray. , and He has
shared His genuine wisdom with us through His Word and by his Holy Spirit.
We believe that the wisdom of God is higher than the wisdom of man, and
people should be very careful about accepting the words of a worldly
"expert" without weighing their words against the Word of God.

As false and
unbiblical teachings continue to multiply in this present age, it is vital that
false teachings be exposed. This is another purpose for Return to the Word.
Researching the issues, Dr. Bulkley and Pastor Alden Laird confront these false
teachings with the goal of showing them to be in error in the light of God's
Holy Word. With a gentle but firm spirit, our prayer is that believers and
unbelievers alike will come to see the truth by simply thinking the issues
through logically, rationally, and with an open mind. God's Word is the plumb
line by which truth is measured, and we believe that all believers have a
responsibility to examine what they are taught against God's Word. |
